Adaptations
The iconic monobloc chair evokes mixed reactions; it is both praised and criticized. As one of the most mass-produced and affordable chairs in the world, it is ubiquitous and highly versatile. At the same time, it is known for its fragility and is often overlooked or discarded.
In the project "Adaptations," I give these broken parts new meaning by transforming them into playful, creative, and imaginative miniature sculptures. In doing so, I highlight the chair’s vulnerability and turn its neglected elements into vibrant, expressive objects.
